Day Personality
(Section Five—Characters Six and Seven)
Today's "constellation personality" is Tail (尾). Calendrical interpretations stress that it is a fortuanate day for building activities and marriage. If either is undertaken today, you will be rewarded with hidden treasures and promotion to high office.
The jianchu "personality" is Closed (閉), which is pretty bad for almost anything "public." If you hunker-down and do some reading (or binge-watching), it is fine. Big-time public activities are a no-go (um, in Lunar World).

There are two beneficent asterisms today: Generational Branch (歲支) and Virtuous Days (德日). By definition, they're good. We'll start exploring these a bit more deeply beginning next month.

Today's slice of the "Five Phases" (sometimes called the "Five Elements") is Earth (土). Ordinarily, the Five Phases weave their way, two-by-two, through the calendar. Yesterday was Earth. Today is Earth, and tomorrow is Metal.
Appropriate Things

It's a solid day for six different things, including Marriage Alliances (嫁娶) and Tailoring (裁衣). Note, as well, that today is one of the five "dividers" of the lunar year. It's called Earth King Usage Matters (土王用事). It divides the solar year into five, seventy-two hour periods.

began on Thursday, April 4 and runs April 19. It is called Qingming
(清明). We are in the fifteenth of the seventy-two five-day
solar micro periods (the 七十二候). It is called Rainbows Begin to be Seen
(虹始見), and it began on Sunday, April 15, and runs through Thursday,
April 19.

Today's miscellaneous omens are White (白) and Mountain (山). The miscellaneous activities are Divination (占), Gate (門), and Great (大). Nobody knows what they mean (and I'm not joking).
