Day Personality
Constellation Personality (Section Five—Character Six)
Today's "constellation personality" is Running Board (軫). It is the twenty-eighth of twenty-eight "lunar mansions" (宿) or "constellations." Traditional calendars state that it is like the running board of a carriage, and its implications of swiftness have continued. It is always printed in red characters.
Jianchu Personality (Section Five—Character Seven)
The jianchu "personality"
is Level (平), and is always printed in black characters. It is the fourth of twelve characters in the jianchu cycle. Despite its rendering in black ink, "Level" isn't half bad. All of those big events that you began yesterday can be brought to completion today. So why is it printed in black ink? Well, "Level" can get a little bit boring from time to time. It is generally positive, though (er, in Lunar World).
