Day Personality
(Section Five—Characters Six and Seven)
Today's "constellation personality" is Weaving Maiden (女). Calendrical interpretations stress that it is linked to the powerful East Asian legend of the herdboy and the weaving maiden, so it should be beautiful, harmonious, and loving, right? Um, wrong. What has settled in as the dominant story behind this day in Lunar World terms is separation. One nice, rosy day together...but 364.25 working away alone, separated). Yup, it presages bad stuff for individual and family.
The jianchu "personality" is Destroy (破). It doesn't get worse than this. "Destroy" is the bottom of the barrel. It is one of those days when you will be driving 32 in a 25 mph zone, and they will get you (so drive the speed limit; it gets rid of those anxieties you're having). The only "good" thing to say about Destroy days is that they come around so often (every twelve days) that people in China have worked out solutions (or rationalizations, depending on your point of view).
