But now that I have your attention, let me tell you that I am not necessarily the sharpest knife in the drawer (see the clip, above, if you need more evidence).

Still, I admire good academics, and my home state's flagship university is pretty darned good—and not just at football. 

The University of Alabama has a top twenty-five law school, and a wide array of degree programs. It also has a terrific museum of natural history. 

I'm proud of this university. Hell, even George Wallace couldn't ruin it (although he tried).
